Marcus began his career in 2016 as a solo practitioner with a focus on trusts & estates prior to first joining Orten Cavanagh Holmes & Hunt in 2018 as a litigation attorney. Marcus has worked for several Denver area law firms where his expertise expanded to include general counsel representation of nonprofit corporations, real estate transactions, along with continued growth as a litigator.
In 2021 Marcus rejoined Orten Cavanagh Holmes & Hunt in a role that includes handling a broad range of litigation matters, including contract and construction disputes, landlord-tenant issues, leasing, governance issues, and covenant enforcement. In addition to litigation, Marcus regularly advises communities on issues related to nonprofit governance, drafting and amending governing documents, preparation of opinion letters, rules and policies, and contract review and negotiation.
Marcus is a frequent speaker at educational events for community association boards of directors and managers and is a member of the CAI-RMC Editorial Committee where he contributes to the Common Interests magazine.
