After graduating Harvard Law School with honors, Lenard began his legal career as a law clerk to a federal appellate judge. Lenard relocated to Colorado and worked for a large Denver law firm before settling in Colorado Springs, where he has practiced for more than 30 years. Lenard’s areas of practice include not only homeowner associations and commercial real estate, but also land and condominium development, shopping centers, and apartments.
In addition to practicing law, Lenard is an avid educator. He taught law in Melbourne, Australia for two years, early in his career. Additionally, he co-authored a nationally published book on condominium financing, has penned numerous articles, and has spoken on many topics related to owner associations and real estate. Among his various achievements, Lenard successfully advocated before the Colorado Supreme Court in favor of a board member’s right to speak out against a neighboring land development project.
