Aaron is a Colorado attorney who is also licensed in Michigan. Aaron comes from a background that includes working closely with residential and commercial property management and consulting firms in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Prior to moving to Colorado, Aaron worked with a boutique law firm handling a variety of real estate and business matters, including landlord-tenant law and working with local municipalities to develop sustainable land use policies.
Since joining Orten Cavanagh Holmes & Hunt in 2013, Aaron’s practice has focused exclusively on working with homeowners associations and condominium associations in Colorado common interest communities. In his role as general counsel, Aaron represents community associations in a variety matters, including advising clients on day-to-day operations and affairs, Board member education and training, drafting and amending governing documents, developer transition, association governance, insurance, fair housing, covenant enforcement, and resolving owner disputes. Aaron also works with a variety of timeshare and mountain resort communities.
Outside of his law practice, Aaron is an avid mountain biker and bike-packer who enjoys traveling to remote areas on his bike. In 2019, Aaron spent several days riding his bike from Telluride to Moab.
